Well, this video shows you how to do exactly that. All you really need is a mixer, a bowl, and a spoon. To me, that is a lot less stressful than having to maintain one of the more official all-in-one ice cream machines that you can purchase for upwards of $100, and requires lots of maintenance to use properly. The secret behind these ice cream recipes is their simplicity. Once you mix the ice cream base, all you have to do is get your additives (Oreo cookie pieces, strawberry flavoring, etc), and mix it with the base in a bowl. In just a few minutes, you can have a bucket-load of your favorite ice cream ready to eat in around 24 hours. It does need to freeze and settle, after all.
